Lesley is a natural with the pooches! She does a fantastic job and truly cares for the dogs with a passion. Mine are both back home now and both fast asleep on their bed. But having said that, I don't think they actually wanted to come back home! I would recommend in a heartbeat to anyone.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About Dog Care in Rotherham

Everything you need to know about our pet care services in Rotherham

Where do you walk dogs in Rotherham and Bramley?

I cover Bramley, Wickersley, Maltby, Hellaby, Sunnyside, and Ravenfield in South Yorkshire. I'm based in Bramley, Rotherham with access to beautiful countryside walks, woods, and local parks. If you're just outside these areas, get in touch — I'm happy to discuss.

How is Play, Paws, Repeat licensed for dog boarding?

I hold a home boarding licence from Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (Licence No. 056462). I'm also qualified with an OA Diploma in Animal Psychology and in Dog Walking & Animal Sitting, fully insured, DBS checked, and trained in canine first aid. View my licence and certificates here.

What is the price of home boarding in Rotherham?

Home boarding is £30 per dog per night at Play, Paws, Repeat. This includes all walks, feeding, and 24/7 companionship in a family home with a large secure garden in Bramley. Drop-off and collection between 8am and 6pm. No hidden fees.

Do you do group or solo dog walks in Rotherham?

I offer group walks only, not solo walks. Group walks are £15 per dog for 60 minutes on weekdays, or £20 per dog on weekends (Saturday/Sunday, 9am–12pm). Dogs are carefully matched by size and temperament for safe, compatible groups.

Is your home boarding licensed and inspected?

Yes. I am fully licensed for home boarding by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (Licence No. 056462). My home and garden have passed all required inspections, and I comply with DEFRA animal welfare standards for home boarding establishments.

How do I book or enquire about your services?

Call me on 07581 029750 or email les.pog65@gmail.com. Every new stay starts with a friendly chat about your dog's routine, personality, diet, and any special needs so we can create the perfect arrangement.

Are you insured and DBS checked?

Yes. I am comprehensively insured for all pet care services including home boarding, dog walking, doggy day care, and pet sitting. I also hold a current enhanced DBS check. Both documents are available on request.

What happens on a typical day of doggy day care?

A typical day includes a morning adventure walk through the woods or countryside near Bramley, supervised play in my secure garden, quiet rest time indoors, and an afternoon garden session. Day care is £25 per dog for a full day and includes all walks and activities.

Can I visit before booking home boarding in Rotherham?

Absolutely. I always offer a free pre-stay chat and home visit before any booking. This gives you a chance to see the environment, meet me, and ask any questions. It also helps your dog become familiar with me and the space before their stay. Just get in touch to arrange a visit.

What happens if my dog needs medication while boarding?

I'm happy to administer medication for dogs during their stay — tablets, liquids, ear drops, and topical treatments. Please discuss your dog's medication needs during the pre-stay consultation so I can ensure everything is set up properly. I'm canine first aid trained for added peace of mind.

Do you board cats or just dogs in Rotherham?

Home boarding is for dogs only at my Bramley home. However, I do offer pet sitting visits for cats and small animals in your own home — feeding, cuddles, litter cleaning, and company while you're away. Pop-in visits start from £12.

How far in advance should I book dog boarding?

I recommend booking at least 1–2 weeks in advance, especially for school holidays and peak periods. For last-minute needs, always feel free to call — I'll do my best to accommodate. It's best to secure your dates early to avoid disappointment.
